What Changes
Young Women Emerge supports girls and young women who are determined to move forward — even when circumstances make it difficult.
Emerging means stepping from being overlooked into visible strength. It means gaining confidence, building skills, and making informed choices about education, work, and leadership.
In the DRC, poverty, conflict, and gender inequality create real barriers. Our role is not to create motivation — it is to remove obstacles and provide steady support at critical moments.
We help girls stay in school. We support young women entering vocational pathways — including fields where they have long been excluded. We build mentorship relationships that strengthen resilience and leadership.
In the short term, this means improved school completion, safer choices, and stronger economic prospects.
Over time, it means expanding who is represented in classrooms, workplaces, and leadership spaces.
When young women rise with the right support, communities grow stronger.
